The center of every shop is a workbench:

The Snow Farm Bench

Designed for Snow farm craft, a residential craft school in the pioneer valley of Massachusetts this bench is designed to be a simple strong all around work bench with storage below to accommodate the wide range of classes taught through the Snow Farm woodshop. It features a quick release steel face vise and a moving dog inset vise on the tail. European beech construction throughout. 60” x 30” work surface with a working height of 35”

The Old Mine Jewelers Bench

Designed and built for an independent custom jeweler, this bench is a mix of storage and work. Built to store and organize tools and materials the old mine bench works to allow a large amount of storage in a small amount of space. The work surface is made of Jatoba, selected for its density, darker color stability and resistance to scorching. The base is northern white ash, and disassembles for easier installation.

The Gear Bench

The gear bench was commissioned by a hobby woodworker that wanted the last word in weight, the gear bench was designed with massive legs and stretchers to add weight to the already massive bench top. The client wanted to be able to move the bench around to work in a small shop and have the ability to stow the bench out of the way when not in use. The designed incorporates a set of step down casters that can be deployed to move the bench into place when needed and out when not. This meant that it could not be permanently secured to the floor and weight was the only thing to keep it in place. Tipping the scales at around 500 lbs this bench certainly has plenty of mass in a small package. Built in European beech with a working surface of 60” x 20” with a working height of 35” The Klein vise was supplied by the client and the bench built to accommodate this request.
